IMPLEMENTASI SISTEM BARCODE PADA PROSES INVENTORY UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PRODUKTIVITAS KARYAWAN

Abstract

The impact of digitalization-based technological developments that affect all industrial activities. In addition, the use of technology as one of the company's ways to meet customer requirements and implementation quality management system. PT. Gajah Tunggal, Tbk. made improvements by implementing a barcode system in the inventory process. This study aims to determine and analyze how the implementation of the barcode system in process inventory, and what factors are obstacles in the implementation of the barcode system and the effectiveness of the implementation of the barcode system on work productivity.The method used in this research uses descriptive qualitative methods. The descriptive qualitative approach serves to describe the circumstances that will be observed in the field more specifically, transparently, and in depth. The researcher is the key instrument, in the data collection technique is done by triangulation, namely a combination of observation, interview, documentation. The conclusion of this study is that the implementation of the barcode system has been successfully applied to the inventory process. Barriers to the implementation of the barcode system have been identified based on the impact of the risks listed in the risk register, and a contingency plan has been developed as an alternative process. Contingency plans are useful in supporting the entire work process and succeed in minimizing the impact of risk. The effectiveness of the barcode system in increasing productivity was successful, with the achievement of work results in accordance with the targets set by the warehouse department
