This study aims to analyze the influence of workload and work stress on employee performance in the production department of PT Mayora Indah Tbk. “The background of this research is based on the increasing number of failed products (rejection) in the biscuit production line which is suspected to be caused by high workload and employee stress levels. The type of research used is quantitative with an associative descriptive approach. The population in this study is 65 production employees, which are also used as a research sample using saturated sampling techniques. Primary data were collected through questionnaires, then analyzed using SPSS through validity, reliability, classical assumption, correlation, multiple regression, t-test, F-test, and coefficient of determination (R²). The results of the study show that workload has a negative and significant effect on employee performance, as well as work stress has a negative and significant effect on employee performance. Simultaneously, workload and work stress have a significant effect on employee performance with a determination coefficient value (R²) of 0.540, which means that 54% of the variation in employee performance can be explained by these two variables.” This finding confirms that the increase in workload and work stress together can reduce the performance of employees in the production department of PT Mayora Indah Tbk. Therefore, the company's management needs to manage workload and work stress proportionally to maintain and improve employee performance.”
